Cantina D'Italia is an elegant yet casual restaurant with a sophisticated menu a full bar and warm service. "Elegant" meaning they have cloth napkins, candlelit dinner tables, a full bar, and someone who offers you fresh ground pepper. "Casual" meaning paper place mats, customers in jeans and a kid's menu. The menu features a variety of veal, chicken and seafood options, as well as pizzas and pastas. (See official web site for details.) The tomato sauce tastes very authentic. While the good old Italian pasta dish in tomato sauce will please you, for something more exciting try the shrimp fra diavolo or the veal saltimbocca. All entrees are served with salad and bread, and the portions are fairly large. Lunch entrees are $7-$10, dinner entrees are around $12-$20. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, owned by Italians. Catering is also available.

Great food, great service, great seafood. Macaroni Grill, Maggiano's, Il Fornaio, has nothing on this privately owned place. This is the best Italian home town classy place in Northern VA. Every summer they have a 7 course wine included extravagant meal. Looking for Italian food this side of the Patomac River check out Cantina D'Italia. Don't order from their website though you won't get a response for a week.
