Jimmy's is open for lunch and dinner, but it’s not known for its
food; it's mostly known for the bar scene. The food is a definitely beyond
your typical bar food, serving not only sandwiches and various greasy,
cheesy appetizers, but also entrees such as Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Jambalaya
and Pierogies & Keilbasa. Every Saturday is Prime Rib Night, and Friday
is the Friday Night Fish Fry, served with fries, pierogies or kielbasa.
Something is happening every night at Jimmy's. Jimmy Cirrito, the owner
since 1997, knows how to throw a party, and is becoming a local icon.
You are likely to see him at any Town of Herndon event, be it a Historic
re-enactment, the Taste of the Town, or business expo. His bar has the
intimacy of a small town tavern, but also gets rowdy on Friday and Saturday
nights when the dance floor fills up and the 20-somethings pack themselves
inside.

The writeup for Jimmy's indicates that it is "not known for it's
food". Of
course that was in 2005. Whoever authored that must have eaten elsewhere.
Several items on the menu are outstanding to include the Prime Rib, and
on Friday nights -the fish fry. The cheesesteaks are some of the best
we have eaten anywhere, and the suicide wings absolutely nail it. There
is no question that this is a real tavern and few of such exist anywhere.
The rest of the No Va places are atypical of the stamped "out-of-the-mold"
sports bars that number in the hundreds... how many more glory days, velocity
fives, and plastic Irish pubs can you add to the scene... and the drinks
here are real vs. the
mixed plastic concoctions you get elsewhere.
