| Zeffirelli Ristorante Italiano Credit Cards: Yes Zeffirelli is one of the most elegant restaurants in Herndon, perfect for a romantic date or a formal business dinner. The owners are Sicilian and Pakistani, and also own Pasta Bella in Herndon as well as another Zeffirelli in Leesburg. The location in the 100+ year old building in downtown Herndon has been open since 1991 and offers some of the area's finest Italian cuisine. With a large wine selection and sophisticated menu, low lighting and professional service, this is an ideal place for a romantic evening or a formal gathering. Try the veal chop - "16 ounces of fine thick cut chops, marinated in tasty spices and pan-seared to perfection." Their advertisement doesn't lie!

that is great. We can eat and drink and walk home. The other evening we
spent 75.00 for 2 glasses of wine, 2 salads, 2 entrees- that is ok BUT
the fresh tomato salad with the mozzerella and basil NO GOOD- served cold,tomatoes
not ripe and the cheese was hard and the basil- i have better in my own
garden- not worth the 8.00 But i do have to say the entrees are delicios. 1) I asked for a Bloody Mary and was told they don't stock tomato juice. 2) My wife asked for a Tom Collins and was asked what's in it. 3) The menu is limited and mediocre. 4) The service is curt and rude. No apology was offered for the failings mentioned. Nor was I even thanked after paying and tipping. No good bye or thank you was uttered upon our leaving. This sort of treatment is the continuing rule in this restaurant. We will not return. I love Zeff's! They are always so attentive & friendly. The food is EXCELLENT! I recommend any of the veal plates. I enjoy the Veal crepe myself. To die for! This is great for business meeting or date. They even have rooms you can rent out for parties. You will not be sorry you went here! To give a review to my favorite restaurant is probably not fair but anyone that does not go to this restaurant at least once, is missing out on a great place. The food is outstanding, the service fantastic and the atmosphere wonderful. In today's world of fast paced eating where the chains try to turn tables over as quick as you can, its just nice to have a place you can go to, take your time and quite frankly, sit at the table all night if you want with no pressure to hurry up. The wine selections are also great and Nino Pino is not only a wonderful host and maitre de but if you know absolutely nothing about wine but want a good recommendation (me), Nino is always there to help. If you live in the area, you must try this restaurant at least once. I can't count how many times I've eaten there but I've never been disappointed.
